Norbert Schäfer

He was born in Beverungen a.d. Weser in 1952 and finished his business education in 1973. But talent is not supposed to be wasted. In the year of his graduation he decided to start an education as photographer and worked as assistant. But he kept sight of his goal. He opened his first own studio in Düsseldorf in 1985 and has been working successfully as people - photographer for national and international advertising. He likes to work with people and is completely a perfectionist. He is working hard and makes heavy demands on himself and his team. But the results are worthy of the intensively work: his pictures activate, motivate, communicate - they live.

Norbert Schäfer is not only an advertising expert but also an artist. He found a new way to represent movement and time in one picture. His pictures don't represent the viewfinder any longer but show the result of varying movements of camera and subject. His pictures developed from the concrete to the abstract. They are no longer photographs but seem to be paintings.

Several national and international exhibitions and keen demand for his pictures prove that he is successful in what he is doing. But first of all he is an individual. A person which fascinates people and likes to be fascinated by them. He does not only see, he feels.
